Himadu Thamuditha is a Sri Lankan pianist, composer, and arranger based in Colombo. His work spans classical, jazz, and Sri Lankan musical influences, with an emphasis on original arrangement over standard repertoire — most performances include material written or adapted specifically for the occasion rather than a fixed set of covers.
He trained in both Western classical piano and Tabla, and later completed a diploma in Audio Engineering and Music Production — a combination that shapes how he approaches live performance, with arrangements built around the room's sound, not just the notes. Beyond performing, he works as a music producer, MIDI programmer, and studio recordist. He's also built an online following for his piano arrangements of popular songs, shared primarily on YouTube.
His playing draws on classical phrasing, jazz reharmonisation, and Sri Lankan melodic influences, often blending the three within a single arrangement.
He has performed at venues including Galle Face Hotel, Seethawaka Regency, The Grand Kandyan, and Tower Hall, with experience across Sinhala, Tamil, and Christian wedding ceremonies.
